Today the Fashion world lost an icon. Alexander McQueen was known for his unconventional designs and out of this world fashion pieces. His work was like a well oiled machine always taking risks, using elaborate colors and creating out of this world wearable art. He has designed for celebrites such as Lady Gaga and Madonna. In school we studied his work and read about what he wanted to accomplish in the future.... but that has been cut short. He was just shy of his 41st birthday which happens to be the same birthday as mine, March 17th, St. Patrick's day....maybe I will even have to purchase a piece of his....hmmmmm, if I could afford it I would own a lot of his pieces!....As SJP put it, " Every single inspired, original, lofty, whimsical, stunning, brilliant and jaw dropping detail was Alexander Mcqueen. There has never been anyone like him. And there simply never will be. What is more devastating is that despite all his success thus far, creatively, critically and commercially, his greatest achievements lay ahead of him. RIP.

Hunter boots have been around forever and I want a pair! These boots are rain boots or snow boots depending on where you live. They can also be used for gardening so your feet don't get all muddy. These croc hunter boots are a collaborated effort with Jimmy Choo, the croc one's are fancy but they also come in a variety of fun colors and you can get wellies to go inside them. How cozy does that sound? Even though I am a beach girl and it doesn't rain too much by the beach.... who doesn't want a super chic pair of quality rain boots? I was cruising around today in my standard leather boots and my feet were freezing. These Hunter boots are a sure way to keep your toes dry! OBSESSION!

Beginning of February sun is shining and the Sea is glistening, Jewels are sparkling....Check out these jewels I found on Etsy, which by the way is my favorite site to find cool vintage pieces. I am obsessed with rubies and garnets and love the chunky-ness of these rings. One of these vintage inspired cocktail rings can add the perfect accessory to a simple outfit or you can spice up a little black dress. Garnet's remind me of my grandmother for some reason, maybe because she is Parisian and the color red is full of richness and power. She is a strong opinionated women who recently had a stroke and her talking ability has been ripped away from her, but I know she is still there listening to my families stories and thinking about her point of view. check out these Jewels.....
